Tyr Coed CL is ideally situated to access Gower's beaches, footpaths and castles.

Gower has over 200 miles of footpaths and rights of way, there is no better way to fully appreciate Gower’s wonderful coast, views, castles and countryside than by walking its many paths.  You can walk from the site, along the road for 300 metres and join a footpath that takes you to Weobley Castle overlooking the estuary and salt marsh, this joins with the Gower section of the Wales Costal Path.  Or you can take a short drive to the nearby village of Oldwalls and join a footpath that takes you on to Cefn Bryn and King Arthur’s Stone giving superb views of both North and South Gower.  Download the 'This is Gower' App to access detailed instructions of many wonderful walks.

Worms Head is just 8 miles away, It is owned the Nation Trust, there is a large car park in the village of Rhossili, from here you can access the clifftop walk to the famous headland or walk through the village and access the beach via a costal path.

Weobley Castle

Weobley Castle looks over North Gower's salt marshes.  It can be visited on foot via a footpath from the farm next door.   For opening hours please look at their website.

Three Cliffs Bay is an award winning bay situated on South Gower.  It can be accessed via a woodland walk through the vally from Parkmill, via a steep hillside walk from Pennard, passing the ruins of Pennard Castle on the way or from the village of Penmaen

Oxwich Bay

Oxwich Bay is one of Gowers most popular beaches with its 2.5 miles of golden sands.  It has good parking, Is an haven for watersports and the beach is dog friendly all year round.
